Downtown Woodstock, Georgia Family Session

I love when a family trusts me to try a location that’s a little outside of the box for typical Fall family photos. While I love a good mountain scape & a pretty sunset just as much as the next photographer, it can be so refreshing to do something completely different { because hey, every family is different too! }. For this session, we chose sunrise rather than sunset, because morning time is often the best time of the day for little ones. I scouted out a few locations that looked beautiful at that time of day, and we were off. As you can see, we didn’t have to sacrifice warmth, as our sunrise gave us just as many glowing, warm images as a sunset. We started out by making sure we got those “Christmas Card” images with everyone together, and then just had a ball after that!

What I loved most about working with the Brandenburg family is how much everyone’s unique personality came through. The special bond between two brothers is always so sweet to capture on camera, and the two boys constantly made each other laugh. The littlest, Ellie, knew her role as the baby of the family and you could tell that she rules the roost!

Family photos have a bad rap for being stressful. From picking a photographer, to a location, to outfits, to making sure everyone smiles during the session. However, my approach removes the pressure! Chasing around little ones who don’t want to pose and smile is one of my favorite things. Toddlers really only have the patience for a couple posed images to begin with, and my goal after we grab those is to capture personality. Truly all your family has to do is arrive, and I will take care of the rest!

Let’s Connect!

I can’t wait to work with your family this Fall season! If you’re tired of the same background each year, lets chat about some fun and different for your family. I can’t wait to chat about your ideas!
